The very smart people at Currency Marketing developed Cuckoo as a way to share amazing campaigns with all credit unions.
Who is Currency Marketing?
Currency Marketing, founded in 1990, is a well-respected, award-winning marketing agency that specializes in the unique marketing needs of credit unions.
What's with the name?
We’re cuckoo for credit unions! Seriously, when we began to develop this service we really wanted to brand it effectively. As marketers, we know that branding is an essential part of business. So we set out to create a name that was reflective of our newest offering. Cuckoo cuts through the clutter and makes a memorable impact. And if we can bring a smile to a face or two along the way, even better. It also has a CU in it—get it?
Who will I deal with at Cuckoo?
A friendly Cuckoo Service Representative (CSR) will facilitate your order. Our CSRs are marketing pros, so don't worry if you're not!
How do I order a campaign from Cuckoo?
That’s easy. Just browse the campaign store and follow the prompts in the order form. A CSR (that's short for Cuckoo Service Representative, remember?) will call you within 48 hours. We are open Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
How can I pay for my order?
All orders must be prepaid by credit card during the initial confirmation phone call. We accept:
- MasterCard
- Visa
- American Express
Can I make changes to my order?
You can make minor changes to your copy up until the final proof is signed off. However, once your proofs are signed off, we produce and ship your order to you as quickly as possible.
So, the short answer: it depends on the status of your order and whether it has been produced yet. Contact a CSR at 1 877 230 1516 or by e-mail. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
How long will it take to complete my order?
Once you have supplied your credit union logo in EPS format, your corporate colours and your custom information, we can get started right away. A first set of proofs will be emailed to you within two business days. Expect delivery of your printed materials within 15 days from the date of final proof sign-off.
Ideally, allocate three weeks from the time you hit "submit" to the day you receive your amazing campaign.
Can I reprint campaign elements if I run out?
Certainly. During your license period you can reprint as many times as you like. Simply contact a CSR at 1 877 230 1516 or by e-mail to initiate your re-order.
What shipping options do you offer?
We offer freight delivery within the continental US for $350 US and within Canada for $250 CDN.
Our shipping and handling fees include delivery charges, packaging materials and the labour involved in packaging and shipping your order.
We offer FedEx overnight delivery within Canada and the continental US where available. Orders are usually shipped within 10 working days of final proof sign-off (weekends and holidays excluded). Expect delivery within 15 days from the date of final proof sign-off.
How do I license a campaign for my credit union?
It's very easy. You can choose from a constantly growing online library of campaigns that can be customized with your credit union’s colours, logo and copy. Simply choose your campaign in the campaign store and submit your order. A CSR will coordinate project details with you and ship the final printed materials directly to you.
Can I license a campaign for more than six months?
Yes. We would be delighted to renew or extend your license for you. Simply contact a CSR at 1 877 230 1516 or by e-mail and they will coordinate the details with you.
What if I really like the campaign, can I buy it?
Sorry! Our campaigns are not for sale. We want to be able to continue to share each campaign with all credit unions.
Why do I need to license a campaign?
Licensing allows you to “rent” a campaign, which is more affordable than owning.
It's cheaper. Think of leasing a car. Your payments are less because at the end of the lease period, you don't own the car. Same thing here. Cuckoo campaigns are cheaper because multiple non-competing credit unions share the costs.
It's easier. We've already taken the time to develop a great idea, so you don't have to agonize over the details. You can preview a variety of amazing concepts and pick the one that works best for your credit union. And, best of all, there is less time required to create your campaign.

What if the campaign I want is currently unavailable?
The early bird catches the worm at Cuckoo, but it won’t be hard to find an equally impressive campaign for your promotion. If you want to be advised when the campaign is available simply contact a CSR at 1 877 230 1516 or by e-mail.
What happens when my license agreement runs out? Do I have to return my materials?
You have the opportunity to renew. If you no longer need the campaign, we request that you recycle all materials and notify us that the campaign is no longer in use.
How can you guarantee that my competitor won’t be using the same campaigns?
Banks can’t license our campaigns. Our amazing campaigns are just for credit unions. And if you license a campaign, you get exclusive rights for six months in your area.
What does an exclusive license mean?
A license means that your credit union doesn't own the campaign. Essentially, your credit union is granted the use of the campaign for a fixed period (our standard period is six months). After that time, the materials must come down.
Exclusive means that Cuckoo will not license a campaign to competing credit unions at the same time. This guarantees that you will not see the campaign you are using across the street at another credit union.
How much does licensing cost?
With your initial order, the license is included in the cost of materials.
Can you ship to multiple addresses?
Yes, but you will be charged a delivery cost for each unique address as our shipping costs are a flat fee per address. If you would like us to ship to multiple addresses, please make a note of it on your order form and your CSR will coordinate the details with you.
How do I track my order?
We will provide a FedEx tracking number.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
We offer FedEx overnight delivery within Canada and the continental US where available. Orders are usually shipped within 10 working days of final proof sign-off (weekends and holidays excluded). Expect delivery within 15 days from the date of final proof sign-off.
How can I become a Club Cuckoo member?
Only credit union employees are eligible. Just fill out our form and submit on the Club Cuckoo page.

Our campaign concepts are image driven and the images have been created specifically and can't be changed. However, if you want a head shot of a key employee on the back of a postcard or on the brochures, we can accommodate this request for a nominal fee. Are the campaign images from a stock photo site?
We pride ourselves on producing original, stand-out, one-of-kind ideas. And best of all, every photo and illustration is original. There's no chance you'll see the same image at the bank across the street!
By creating our own visual elements, we can ensure that our clients can confidently license a Cuckoo campaign without any models or stock photography companies coming out of the woodwork looking for more money!
